Daca va gasi cartea de magie il poate salva asta daca nu cartea o gaseste prima pe Olive.

Daca ar reusi sa isi puna deoparte ura si diferentele atunci exista o sansa de supravietuire pentru amandoi.

Un Vrajitor din Terramare este prima carte din seria Terramare, in care Ursula K Le Guin imagineaza un arhipelag fantastic, teritoriu guvernat de vrajitori, singurul loc unde mai pot fi intalniti dragoni zburatori.

Vol II: Mormintele din Atuan
Tenar devine din fetita de sase ani, Mare Preoteasa Renascuta a Mormintelor din Atuan, Mare Preoteasa a Celor Nenumiti cu titulatura Cea Devorata. Creste aici fara sa stie altceva decât ritualurile Mormintelor, întunericul din labirinturile de sub ele, pâna într-o zi când un vrajitor din Tinuturile Interioare ajunge la morminte.

Vol III: Cel mai indepartat tarm
O promisiune învaluie lumea insulelor si a marii. Este o promisiune a vietii vesnice pe care o aud magicienii, cântaretii, oamenii înzestrati cu putere.

Vol IV: Tehanu
Tenar, sosită cu ani în urmă în Gont, e cunoscută acum sub numele Goha și s-a măritat cu fermierul Flint, căruia i-a făcut doi copii, Apple și Spark. Soțul a murit, copiii au crescut, iar Tenar a rămas singură în Ferma Stejarilor, neștiind cine este: o simplă soție de fermier pe nume Goha, sau fosta preoteasă kargă, Tenar. Ursula Le Guin - Cronicile tinuturilor din apus


Vol I: Daruri
Orrec este fiul brantorului de Caspromant, iar Gry este fiica brantorilor de Barre si Rodd. Au crescut împreuna în Tarâmurile de Sus, unde domeniile lor se învecinau.
Oamenii acelor tinuturi sunt precum pamânturile pe care traiesc: aspri, salbatici si mândri. Se razboiesc permanent cu unul sau altul dintre vecinii lor, îsi mâna vitele, îi iau prizonieri pe servi, îsi sporesc averile. Doar darurile mai pot mentine fragila pace dintre ei.
Darurile sunt puteri date pentru a fi folosite la protejarea domeniilor: ele sunt lasate mostenire de catre tata fiilor sai si de catre mama fiicelor sale.
În Barre, darul consta în chemarea animalelor.
Femeile din Cordemant au puterea de a lasa pe cineva orb, surd sau mut.
Darul celor din Rodd este puterea de a trimite un jungher vrajit în inima unui barbat sau de a-i taia beregata cu el, ori sa-l schilodeasca, dupa cum le este placul, daca este în raza lor vizuala.
Callemii pot misca lucruri grele folosind numai cuvântul si gestul – chiar si cladiri, chiar si dealuri.
Darul brantorului de Drummant este irosirea înceata.
Casprii au cel mai bun si cel mai rau dintre daruri: des-fiintarea… unei insecte, unui animal, unui loc.
Orrec si Gry sunt mostenitorii domeniilor Caspro si Barre.
Darul lui Gry se adevereste, însa, spre deosebire de mama ei, ea nu va chema animalele pentru a le vâna.
Si Orrec are o problema: darul lui este neîmblânzit – nu-l poate controla si de-aceea ajunge sa fie cel mai periculos dar posibil…

Vol II: Voci
În chiar anul nasterii lui Memer, frumosul oras Ansul a fost cucerit de o armata si, de atunci, preotii acesteia i-au prigonit pe toti cei care îndrazneau sa iubeasca scrisul si cititul. Toti cei care erau prinsi având carti asupra lor erau degraba condamnati la moarte.
Intoleranta alzilor, care cred într-un singur Zeu al Focului, fata de cultura politeista a celor din Ansul sta la baza acestui nou roman din seria Cronicile tinuturilor din Apus.
Voci este povestea maturizarii lui Memer, o fata de saptesprezece ani, dar este si mult mai mult decât atât. Îi veti cunoaste pe locuitorii orasului Ansul, care iubesc învatatura, pacea si egalitatea.
În casa fostului Lord-al-cailor, Memer descopera o biblioteca secreta, în care sunt pastrate ultimele carti. Alaturi de Lordul-cailor, Memer va învata sa descifreze cuvintele, sa le patrunda întelesul si sa îsi accepte darul de a fi vocea Oracolului.
Când marele povestitor si poet Orrec, alaturi de sotia lui, îmblânzitoarea de animale Gry, sosesc în Ansul, la invitatia Gandului (conducatorul fortelor cotropitoare ale orasului), soarta li-i scoate în cale pe Memer si pe Lordul-cailor.
